1957  Jacques Cornet  Paris – Tokyo – Paris

Back in 1953. Jacques Cornet crossed Americas to from North to South in company with H. Lochon and returned to France via Africa There remained Aasia. In 1956 Cornet, with Georges Khim, left Paris at the wheel of 2CV, headed for Tokyo. The pair  were not to see towers of Notre -Dame again for nine months.

Their return return trip was veritable race against the time: from Bombay to France, they covered 9.000 miles in 31 days on some of the world’s worst roads, driving day and night. When they arrived back to Paris on April 27th 1957 their 2CV had 27.364 miles on the clock.
