Punaiselle ristille rahaa keräävä “Norkapp Challenge” -ajo saapuu Suomeen 10.12. Mukana on myös hollantilainen 2cv-tiimi, joka mielellään tapaisi suomalaisia rättäristejä. Alla heidän viestejään.
Dear Fin 2CV friends,
Yesterday we had a meet and greet with the Nordkapp Challenge organization and our fellow teams, 37 in total (that includes us).
We got the final road book, see attached sheet. The picture quality is a bit crappy, due to my ancient cell phone. Sorry for that.As you can see, the first day in Finland is quite a long one. The second day is a very short trip and the third day we stay in Inari. That may be a good opportunity to meet fellow 2CV friends.
Also, we may leave the group for a day or so, if you have a good suggestion for an alternative accommodation.See you soon?
Dear Fin 2CV friends,Our Nordkapp Challenge is approaching! To freshen up your memory: This is NOT a trip like the latest Raid Laponie. The number of vehicles is about the same (35 to 40), but we are the only team that will be driving a 2CV. All teams are joining in order to raise money for the Red Cross.
In the mean time our trip schedule has been pretty much sorted out. We will enter Finland on the morning of Wednesday, December 10th. 10:10 hr, Viking Line. Please have a look at our travel plan:

You will see that:
from Helsinki we will go to Kuhmo (Dec 10th)
Rovaniemi (Dec 11th)
Saariselkä (Dec 12th)
Inari (Dec 13th)
That will give us roughly 4½ days of traveling in Finland. It will be nice to meet fellow 2CV friends along our journey, especially if you live along our planned route. We may call for your help, if (despite our thorough preparations) our 2CV breaks down. Yes we ordered the Apua help booklet, so if you are in it, we’ll have your contact details.
