OSLO ( Norway). – 350 miles at 70 miles per gallon: it sounds like a tali story. In fact it comes from Norway where, for a bet, Mr. Oluf Berrum, President of the Norwegian 2 CV Club, a passenger and luggage in a 5 year old 2 CV with 40,000 miles on the clock, succeeded in covering the 330 miles from Oslo to Bergen over tortuous mountain roads using only 4.6 gallons of petrol, i.e. 71.5 m.p.g.; the condition of the engine and tyre pressures were normal and Mr. Berrum did not allow himself to free-wheel down any hill.
